Top 3 Trends in Human Resources Management

We all can agree that 2020 was a year full of challenges for all of us.Covid-19 has created a deep impact on how to work, live, and behave with each other. No one has anticipated the quick changes happening around us.

Businesses were either forced to shut down or had to move their work entirely from home.

The whole model of the business community was focused on survival instead of expanding. But apart from many challenges, there were some goods in the process.

We saw change management happening on weekends to make decisions to work from home.

We saw people quickly adopting new ways of working and living a new life. Face masks and sanitization become one of the most prominent rituals for the public.

The HR industry showed resilience and did not let their work hamper because of lockdown and work from home conditions.

Here I will share how HR will evolve beyond the conventional world of recruiting in the times to come.

  1. Remote Working is Here to Stay

When Covid-19 started, people were asked to work from home to avoid the spread of the virus. Many companies first-time shifted the entire work through remote or started doing work from home. It also brought some challenges like coping with work-life balance, remote work policies, and working out with Zoom calls for performance reviews.

HR people were also not untouched from the new normal, and they also did not let recruiting stop. When bringing the candidates, an in-person interview was impossible; they looked for remote hiring. The new model significantly increased the adoption of technology tools to simplify the hiring process. Check out how we helped with our resume parsing tool to quickly screen their resumes and speed up the hiring process, even working remotely.

2. Virtual onboarding

Many companies put hiring on freeze during Covid-19, but now things have started to be on the path again.

Companies need to put extra time to bring candidates on board and encourage them to reach out to each other through chats or virtual calls.

They also need to check on their virtual onboarding processes because it is not the new trend.

3. Upskilling and Retraining

Companies focused their business model on survival during the pandemic. Because of the lockdown and social distancing, they followed new protocols of working and doing things.

It required both training and upskilling to ensure they have the right skills to run the business with any challenges ahead.

Only companies with flexibility and quick adaptability are the ones who are going to create an impact in the long run and be ready to face unforeseen problems.
