Entelo’s solution currently serves more than 600 companies including Capital One, Cisco, Facebook, GE, Genentech, Netflix, Northrop Grumman, and Target. The company will use the new funds to continue its investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and to accelerate hiring across all teams.

“We are impressed by Entelo’s vision of a world in which jobs find people instead of people finding jobs,” said Rick Lewis, U.S. Venture Partners. “We admire their progress on that vision and believe Entelo is at the forefront of innovation in the recruiting technology landscape. We are excited to partner with them to build an iconic company.”

According to the Deloitte Human Capital Trends report, 61% of today’s CEOs report they do not believe they are recruiting fast enough or well enough, and the process has become enormously complex. Entelo applies intelligence to big data and automates workflows to provide recruiting teams with actionable insights, higher candidate engagement, and increased productivity.

“When recruiting for senior-level and executive roles, I have to be high-touch and targeted,” said TJ Bonner, Executive Recruiter at GE Digital. “Having access to additional data points and social profiles in Entelo means I can connect more authentically and deliver a better candidate experience.”

Entelo also announced newly forged strategic relationships with several world-class data providers, including Equifax Inc., FullContact and InsideView. Through these relationships, Entelo's customers gain even more robust profile information with which to personalize outreach to qualified candidates, resulting in higher engagement rates and better recruiting results.

“The talent acquisition technology landscape has become increasingly complex and companies are keen to make smart investments,” said Madeline Laurano, co-founder and Chief Research Officer of Aptitude Research. “Entelo is at the forefront of how advanced AI can deliver qualified candidates quickly and we anticipate the addition of their new data partnerships will further differentiate their solutions.”

“The impact of data-driven and data science-driven talent acquisition is going to be tremendous,” said Jon Bischke, founder and CEO of Entelo. “This round enables us to accelerate product development that will underscore Entelo’s position as the market leader in applying the latest technologies to the hiring process.”

This is an ode to our community of sharing and the people who are so dedicated to making other people better at recruiting instead of telling them why they suck.

If you have advice, please post it below. As your prompt, here's the original post from Robert:

Dear secret sourcing group,

I am a new recruiter, going at it for almost a year now, and I am honestly starting to feel lost.

All the ways people are sourcing on here I haven't used or learned. My boss cant teach me things he never learned (aka true passive sourcing, utilizing Twitter etc.) and the Internet in all its glory is hard to sift through.

I am an outside recruiter (is that even what you call it?). We search for potential clients and candidates in the mortgage industry. Very small company as it is just my boss and I. We don't have a true big boy / expensive ats. I use LinkedIn recruiter a lot but have a hard time staying organized without the proper tools to do so. My boss has been doing it for 25 years and all of this comes very natural to him to take notes on a legal pad and just remember things. It is not as easy for me.

Most research I do leads me to articles that are full of fluff or pointed at someone in TA in an actual company looking to hire within, not a tiny recruiting firm like mine.

Are there any good places to look for knowledge in terms of recruiting in 2016? Is anyone willing to let me shadow them to see what it looks like?

ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I will succeed one way or another but any advice on learning to run and not crawl would be great.

**sorry for the long post, I wouldn't waste everyone's time if I didn't truly need it**

Has anyone used either Hired.com or Vettery products to any extent? They seem to have a lot of common ground, though they're fairly limited to cities that have a highly technical orientation. Would love to hear the opinions from any who has used either platform to some extent. Thanks in advance.

What are best practices or effective strategies on expanding a recruiting search geographically?

eg. I have exhausted (or close to it) much of the local market for a particular position. I want to expand the radius of my search to 100 miles, 200 miles, 500 miles, etc., hoping that someone will be open to relocation. What is the best way to go about this both strategically and tactically?

Let's not start World War 3 here - but I kind of want to debate this a little and draw out things I'm not necessarily aware of. I've done my time in agency, RPO and corporate recruitment, and can confidently say I have the same skills and experience as the average agency recruiter today.

So why use a recruitment agency? I can think of a few scenarios that fall into three main categories:

So why use a recruitment agency? I can think of a few scenarios that fall into three main categories:

Specialised networks - those agencies that have a network of niche professionals so well hidden, I can't find them through thorough Boolean search of social media profiles. (say what.. people without a trace of online career history??) These might be built from talent events etc

Time / The luxury of time I don't have. In corporate recruiting I've had anywhere from 2 to 25 jobs at a given time. (In agency, I could pick and choose the roles I wanted to work on and could dedicate days or even weeks to sourcing a particular role) Whereas now I need to provide great service to all roles all the time.

Agencies may be able to advocate in the case of a poor employer brand.

That's it - three categories - what am I missing? I'm not unusual to my corporate recruiting colleagues, they too have time pressures, the same employer brand (which happens to be pretty strong) and most of them are skilled in sourcing and approaching passive or hidden talent.

Most of the agencies I've dealt with since moving to RPO and then in-house, have been pretty difficult to deal with - they bypass me to get to the manager, over-inflate the service they provide to the business and have poor relationship management skills. There are a handful that are of course nothing like this and they do a brilliant job, but mainly it's more of a struggle to partner with an agency, than spend a few extra after hours sourcing candidates myself.

Thoughts?

It's that simple - what are your favorite free / low cost new (or new in the last 6 months) tools you're using to source and recruit?

You can't work at the company you're recommending - these should be unsolicited. I plan on using the ideas for an ebook like this one that was solely focused on sourcing (if you haven't seen it, you can find it here).
