I'm new to using twitter, any tips on how a recruiter should use the tool? Also, is there anyone you suggest I follow that provides solid advice on recruiting? I need suggestions and links.

Who to follow is a personal thing. You can go follow well known people and bloggers and hear the same content over and over again. Or go find other people to follow. Follow employers, follow recruiters or follow candidates. It all depends what you can to get out of Twitter. Some of the reasons for using Twitter are:
• Branding
• Connecting and developing relationships with your candidates & employers
• Networking opportunities
• Reputation management
• Conversations
• Above all fun!

A final comment, just keep it real.
