I have however had a horrendous experience with Bullhorn in the 5 months since signing on and am still sitting with a half-implemented system - for the full details check out Seriously Frustrated Bullhorn customer. The short and simple version is that we are expected to pay for the month of July, despite only receiving logins to the system in mid-August. The official party line is that all SAAS based systems operate in this manner - Ie. client expected to pay from sign on date. I need to research if this is the case, but even if it is, doesn't mean it's correct and maybe SAAS based systems need a shake up so that people aren't expected to pay for something they can't use. In addition to that, there has been a litany of lengthy, drawn-out and painful customer services interactions and the Activity Centre (one of the key bits of functionality that contributed to my eventual decision to choose Bullhorn) is still not working. I actually found out about these acquisitions when revisiting Sendouts as a possible alternative to Bullhorn. Now there isn't much point. The corporate culture of Sendouts will be doubtless be swallowed up by the larger organisation with antiquated and inflexible approach to customer service. Good luck Sendouts. I think you'll need it.
Good stuff, Bard Martin H.Sn…tag:recruitingblogs.com,2012-12-03:502551:Comment:16283472012-12-03T17:54:49.053ZJ.
BrightMove has just announced free conversion options for Bullhorn, Maxhire and Sendouts users which may be of interest.

Just go to BrightMove and request more information. Mention you are coming from one of these vendors and it is that simple. Ask about competitive pricing discounts as well.

BrightMove gives recruiters access to over 1000 sources and over 20,000 corporate job sites for skill marketing. It also works on Mac as well as all major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari)

As many people are hearing through industry channels, Bullhorn has acquired two other staffing software vendors, Sendouts and Maxhire. Here at XXXX, we think this is a great opportunity for companies to start asking some big questions about what to do next.

Do I want to risk being forced onto a new platform in the next couple of months or years? Should I start looking at newer options?
According to an article posted on StaffingIndustry.com, Bullhorn has indicated there will be a two year period of stagnation while features are merged into one platform which we can guess will be the current Bullhorn platform. Do you truly believe that things are going to go this smoothly?
http://www.staffingindustry.com/site/content/view/full/96237

Is the new solution going to address the need to run on Mac and other browsers?
This has been a long running challenge, and companies need to go where the talent is. With Chrome becoming the top browser on the Internet, a cross browser platform is a must.

Do I want to wait to see what happens and be potentially forced onto a solution that does not fit my long term needs?
The last thing companies want is to be forced into a new solution at the last minute. Now is a great time to plan and execute to stay ahead of any potential challenges.

How much is it going to cost me internally, to change to whatever this new merged solution is going to be?
With change comes change management and potential cost that can affect the bottom line. Now is a great time to evaluate options.

Sad day for this business. Innovation is driven by competition. Each of these products was good, in may ways, BECAUSE of the other. It's a very small market, and consolidating the primary competitors is unlikely to be a positive for the products or the customers. The company with the "better mousetrap" doesn't always win. Many times it's the company with superior marketing or some other advantage that comes out on top. When that company is then able to acquire it's competitors, the customer loses. Despite the official line from the new company's management, I would expect less innovation, poorer customer service and higher prices in the future.
with Bullhorn buying the 2 b…tag:recruitingblogs.com,2012-11-29:502551:Comment:16268742012-11-29T20:09:53.833ZRich Rosenhttps://recruitingblogs.com/profile/RichRosen

I was with Bullhorn for years.. recently left them (though still under contact) and moved my data (manually) to Sendouts 2 weeks ago!! LOL!!

Since all of these systems lacked something, I am hopeful the newly merged company and platform will be the most robust of them all!!
