JD... I gots ta know

hey JD,

I don't go way back with a lot of you... you being, a lot of the core contributors here at RBC, who seem to have known each other for years.

So this may be a redundant question, something everyone knows but me...

But what the hell. Mate... I gots ta know.... why "Slouch?" (yes I ask the hard hitting, crucial Recruiting questions!)

I thought about a DM, however I thought others may gave their own 2cents to add :)

when I sold the domain name recruiting.com to Jobster, I started to look for the cheapest one word domain name I could find and slouch.com was it.

When I set up RecruitingBlogs.com on Ning for the first time, it asked me for my user name which I thought was going to be an internal Ning login name and what happened is it used it as the screen name. It's been like that ever since.

I could change it and probably should.

I wouldn't. It's an opportunity to build a one word brand - HOW VALUABLE is that?
What do one word url's go for, anyway?

Bono, Prince, Madonna, Pele, Eminem, Sting, Pink, Coolio, Beyonce, Seal, Flea, Yanni, Cher...and Slouch.

Recruiting needs more people with a single name; don't change a thing...
