National Trading Firm Headquartered in NYC Metro area (meaning very close to NYC) is looking for a Recruiter with Agency or Financial Services Sales Experience to be their VP of International Business Development. Is this you or someone you know?

Full cycle recruitment for staff positions, unsalaried (commission) trader trainees, and eventually experienced traders.

Must posses recruiting experience within an agency environment. The ideal candidate is someone who is intelligent, well educated, professional, polished, and articulate, with good interpersonal skills and knowledge of labor laws/employee relations.

Position

Partner with senior management to understand business goals and define recruiting goals and strategies.

Manage the hands-on-recruitment process, from the sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiations and successful on-boarding of new hires.

Conduct in-depth interviews to properly assess the skill sets and competencies of candidates.

Work with team members/management to identify process improvements and make recommendations for change.

Build relationships with outside sourcing and recruiting resources that contribute to the recruiting pipeline and complements the internal efforts.-Interviewing, testing, and referring applicants for trader positions.

Considerable skill in interviewing techniques.

A good knowledge of trading and specialized functions in the company.

A basic understanding of personnel policy, procedure as well as Federal and State laws regarding employment practices.

Analyze information provided on a prospective employee's resume and if warranted conduct a personal interview.

Determine the suitability of the applicant for employment.

When the information provided indicates a good potential employee refer them to upper management and or president or CEO for final interview.

Knowledge and Skills

This position requires a person who can find people to fill jobs who aren't looking! We're most interested in someone who has made a living on agency commissions and can handle a placement from sourcing to closing.

Day Trading Experience is a plus but not required. Non-Daytrading Equities (stock) trading experience is next most desirable.

Education and Work Experience

B.A. Degree is required. NASD Security Licenses a plus.
