Those who have set up a recruitment company could benefit from the creation of more opportunities for apprenticeships in specialist professions, which are likely to result in a skilled talent pool in the future.

Business secretary Vince Cable is urging young people to pursue a career in aerospace, according to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, which also revealed that expansion of apprenticeships at Level 3 and above is underway.

Those looking into recruitment company accounting may want to know that there is unmet employer demand for advanced level apprenticeships, especially in sectors such as engineering.

Commenting on the revelations, Steve Huxham, chairman of the Recruitment Society, stated that increasing opportunities for people to take up apprenticeships can result in the emergence of a mixed economy.

"One of the benefits generally for society and for business is that it makes people realise that apprenticeships have real value so that people who have gone through quite demanding apprenticeships are not devalued," he explained.
