Thanks, Jason. Give me some time, but I'm definitely interested in doing some more writing. Can't wait to start playing with "my page" and see what it can do!
  • Rithesh Nair

    thanks
  • Ileane Frank

thanks Jason, as always you are a true gentleman!
  • Suzy Tonini

Thank you Slouch! I'll check Recruiting Animal (actually, already subscribe to his blog)
  • Bryan Starbuck

Thanks for the invite Slouch. The recruiting blogosphere is one of the best communities on the internet.
  • Leslie O Connor

    Who is Nancy??
Things are going great with me - how about you?
  • Dennis Smith

Jason - sorry for not getting back sooner - was on the road last week. Toronto sounds good - gotta check the calendar as I'm doing a lot of travel over the next three months (my AAdvantage miles are going crazy!). Will catch up with you next week.
  • Teodora Hristova

Hi there! Thanks for having me in your community...really looking forward to contributing more of my "recruitment insights" :)
  • Maureen Sharib

Thanks Slouch I LOVE hearing feedback like this! Peopel ask me all the time, "Doe sit work?" I point at my customers who keep ordering more work and shrug.

    ;)

    Hi Slouch!
  • Fiona Cherbak

Thanks for touching base! Admittedly, I'm a "newb" at recruiting blogs, but am no stranger to participating in worthwhile discussion. I hope to have more to offer over the long run...
  • Recruiting Animal

Thank you Slouch. (For sending all those babes my way).
  • pam claughton

Thanks! I'm happy I found this place.

Good to see you doing well. I have gone independent consultant now, so maybe we will cross paths more often!
  • mattmartone

    Hey Bud,
Glad we had a chance to meet in San Diego. I almost called you the other day. I had a question about domain names.

I don't think I ever found my answer. I'll prol be in touch next week.
  • Joe Grimm

Still working it. Since we met, I started clubfreep in Ning, for alumni of the Free Press/ Iam looking at what you're doing forideas. Plan now is to have a forum that I post to just once a week with company news. I hope alums will supply most of the content there.

Am also working up newsrecruiter.com, which will have a blog with themed days. That themed-day blog will incubate Web sites and books.

I learned a lot from you, Jim and all in San Diego.
  • Scott Dunlop

hey there! sure sounds good to me, this being memorial day week, thurs/fri looks better to me. let me know. take care.
  • Amitai Givertz

    Hey, Jason,

Thanks for the help with the page and the videos and stuff. This should be an interesting sandbox to play in. We'll see....
  • Amitai Givertz

Oh, but I don't see my blogs' feeds in the RecruitingBlogs RSS feeds. What do I need to do?
  • Holly

    Thanks for the welcome!
  • Jacob Share

Thanks for the friending, Jason. Look forward to seeing you on http://jobmob.co.il/ :)

  • Amitai Givertz

Jason, I see that you added the "Quote for the Day" to the home page. That's fantastic. Thank you.
  • Penny Goodman

I am more interested in discussing the lack of women at your poker tournaments but okay, here goes:
    Penny: Penny speaking
Candidate: Hi Penny, it's candidate here.
Penny: Hi, how did the interview go?
Candidate: It was GREAT! I did really well, I think they were really impressed and I'm really interested in the job.
    Penny: Click

Please see my response to the constest question last week and make this #5...If a candidate calls you first thing in the morning to tell you how amazing the interview was, he will probably not get the job.
  • Russ Moon

I am going to seek you out, submerged in 35,500 lines of data I am currently wrestling with to pull down and wedding planning.
  • Bob Brown

Nice to meet you as well Slouch !

    Bob
  • Volora Howell

Hi Jason - I had a blast!! I've gotta say..there is never a dull moment on that show. The Recruiting Animal is hilarious! Hope I added some valuable comments. Great discussion!
  • Recruiting Animal

I thought I sounded a bit more shrill than usual because that darned Harry Joiner made me change to a regular phone until I get my headset fixed and I didn't feel comfortable without being able to talk with my hands.
  • mattmartone

Dude. We're giving away a car a shrm.

    http://www.jobsearchmarketing.com/yahoo-hotjobs-shrm-car.html

Im looking for ways/sites to promote this. Let me know if you have any suggestions. I def. value your input.
  • Brenda DePas

Thanks and Thanks ;-) I have decided to jump on the bandwagon as far as incorporating WEB 2.0 into my daily life as a recruiter. I want to create a blog for mortgage originators to somehow augment my ongoing recruiting efforts. Since I have typically stayed away from the social networking and blogs and etc... other than personal networking I thought it would be useful to get the hang of blogging in a safe enviroment before pitching the concept to my boss for recruiting purposes. So BAM - here I am!!! LOL
  • CraigCampbell (craigjcampbell.com)

Do you know anyone out there who is or has leverage high volume text message campaign management?

    thanks in advance
  • mattmartone

Give the car to you? Haven't you won enough from all the recruiting poker tourney's?

I'm done with the sopranos stuff. It was sort of an experiment in SEO. It worked. I’m getting a TON of traffic to the posts from search engines. I really don’t care for the traffic as it is totally useless for my blog’s cause but demonstrated to me what it was supposed to.

Hope I didn’t spoil anything for you. I can believe you haven’t seen it yet.

    What are you waiting for!?
  • CraigCampbell (craigjcampbell.com)

lets connect sometime in the next week and let me know what the needs would be and I'll put some legwork into and let you know. It sounds fun to me, but let me make some contacts once I get all of the specs.

    I'll stay tuned,

    Craig

  • Paul Stevens

Yes, one of my clients is LSI Logic who I have supported the last 3 1/2 years.
  • Jason Whitman

Jason, things at Indeed are good. Busy but exciting. We have a PPA beta program going and continue adding PPC clients. Also getting ready for SHRM. Right now I'm busy watching squirrel videos from The Chad...
  • CraigCampbell (craigjcampbell.com)

    Hi Jason

I have some time tomorrow before 11 to discuss the tournament, if you have time.
  • Chad Sowash

  • Phil Willson

Thanks for checking in! Enjoying the group you put together...
  • John

    Thanks!

I added it myself, Non of the default options interested me.
  • John

No it was actually easy. The UI is great!
  • Steven Rothberg

Thank you for the comment about my use of the "recovering lawyer" bit but Dave is my dad. I'm Steven. :)
  • Steven Rothberg

You can call me anything you want. Just call me. :)
  • Leslie Nagle

Actually, the recruiting animal was gracious enough to do it "in kind". It is nice to know there are still people like that out there.
  • John

Go to edit page apperance, scroll down and click on background picture. You can upload your own image from there and play around with the colors to your liking!
