Thanks for touching base! Admittedly, I'm a "newb" at recruiting blogs, but am no stranger to participating in worthwhile discussion. I hope to have more to offer over the long run...

Fiona, come on. You're not supposed to talk about colour in recruiting.
  • Recruiting Animal

It's the colour of my skin and my turtleneck sweater. Red and orange.

Hi Fiona! Thanks so much for the recent "add," neighbor!

I just visited the Barton Creek Resort last week (my first trip south of the Austin) and it was beautiful! I know why people live there!

    Take care -

Hi Fiona. Do you think that Georgia will become the Silicon Valley of game development?

    Game world- interesting industry.

Hi Fiona. From what I've read about the computer gaming industry, 50 to 60% of Georgia's colleges now offer degrees in game development. Because of that and a state tax incentive, game companies are beginning to sprout up near college campuses. From a financial and human resource standpoint, it makes sense for companies to do business there. If you're a student who wants to pursue a degree in game development, Georgia looks like a good place to be. With at least half of the colleges offering degrees in game development there, student have more options when selecting the school they want to attend. If you're a seasoned game developer, taking a job in Georgia may lower your cost of living. Living in Georgia is pretty reasonable.
