Ok. I just listened to your recent podcast "Meet Noah Roth." Yes, the whole podcast! I understand everything now. Forget some of my earlier comments. BTW is that a Jobster Network widget next to me?!
Didn't see the film, did some quick research stating in context it is critiquing the false hopes of the American Dream. Should never have banned the booze, now its exported!
Animal, I'm just catching up on your recent casts! All I can say...you're an ANIMAL! I dabbled in radio for a few years before stumbling around a bit and falling face first into recruitment. I love your intro!
Hey will anyone visit Stiv Alan's chatter wall (below) and tell him I want to be his friend? Not his real friend; I just want him to link to me. It's for the contest. The more friends I can collect the more money is donated to the Senior Recruiters' Retirement Home.
My online friend David Perry is looking for exciting job hunting stories for his new book. Any volunteers? He's a good writer. I loved Guerrilla Marketing For Job Hunters.
Hmmmm - so, as you're reinventing me is it the bio or name change that will lead to success? Seriously though, thanks for the callout on the opening - I think I'll leave my name as is since only my Aunt Mimi can call me Suzie!
I am looking for some chatty, witty Indian recruiters who would like to appear on the Recruiting Animal Show. It's always on Wednesday at Noon Toronto time. Note: you have to be able to take a joke. No crybabies.
Hi Animal. You really know how to strke terror in the heart of a new member. Five minutes after I join, you ask if I want to be the latest victim (guest?) of the Animal Show? My god, what would my two friends think of me if I started sobbing 2 minutes into the program?
Would you be my friend ... instead of eating me alive?
Thanks for the invite, but I am not sure why as I am neither Indian, nor do I recruit in India. Is there another reason I should consider being a part of the group?
Thanks for the invite. Our site posted a contest on JobBoarders.com and ERE to award a charity poker tournament" chair" at the ERE EXPO on 10/17 in exchange for ideas for our plan to revamp Diversity.com. Would you like the contest details?
Looks like the boys at blogTalkRadio fixed the time zone issue. I was able to open the main page and the link to your last show about LinkedIn with Jason Alba, very good show. I will defiantly be back to listen again.
Hope your T-Day went well.
hey Animal -I've got a new project I'm working on. You may have read about it on my blog Mon. It's essentially 'career orientation' for college grads. My partners and I are rolling it out in Jan. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts. And of course if the mood strikes a little 'animal love' is always appreciated. Here's the link mycareerlaunchpad.com.
My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to Ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me 'Sue.'
I listened to the show last night (from Wednesday). I enjoyed every moment of it and wish I didn't have prior commitments during the live show. I’m probably going to block off every Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 so I can listen. Let me know anytime you'd like me to join the fun!
in the 1700's (?) a group of merchants in Philadelphia moved across the Delaware River to the "wilds" of what was New Jersey (about 10 miles east of the city) and built summer mansions to get awary from the "congestion" of downtown colonial Philadelphia. Thus the name "Merchantville." Later (1800's) it was incorporated as the Borough of Merchantville. Area is slighthly over 1 sq mile. Population is 3001 as of last year. Totally surrounded now on all sides by the Township of Pennsauken and nearby Cherry Hill, NJ. One mile to the east is Camden, NJ, which is on the east bank of the Delaware River, across from Philadelphia on the west bank. (Camden, home of Campbell Soup and what was RCA.)
