That is a basic small start. As you know the devil is in the details. We have to figure out all the possible benefits and drawbacks and other issues that would make it a successful site but also how we can determine the revenue projections and revenue dispersals etc, etc.
I am certainly open to further discussions. I like the idea of getting together because it allows for brainstorming and a focused fruitful discussion without all the work/office distractions and time commitments of running an office.

Kids are doing well. Three in college this year - ouch!
Business is excellent, new clients, more projects, exciting times for the Virtual Job Tryout.
Joined a group of musicians that jam once a month for grins and giggles
Started bike commuting 1-2 days per week, its just under 7 miles - uphill to work, down hill home ;-)
Cheers

It's not looking good - I have to be in Seattle for meetings that week so I am not sure if it is going to work. Give me until next week when SourceCon wraps up and I'll let you know if I can juggle.
Slouch that was a lot of fun today on the Animal show and I laughed Dr. Pepper out of my nose when I read your post to Karen M. tellling her to STFU and get her own blog ;-)
which one is the real "Animal" - I told Susan to take a photo for me next week when she at RecruitFest - I know he doesn't resemble a puppet in real life :-)
btw - it's Heather and couple of others :) I guess he has quite a Fan club.. wait.. I thought someone mentioned was the President of his fan club? Was that John Sumser? :) Look forward to meeting John as well. PS - still trying to figure out a way back from Toronto to Buffalo - need to see if there are any other options other than greyhound (limited time slots).. I'd appreciate if you have some info. Thx Jason. Best, Susan
PS - We're having a social "cocktail hour" tomorrow night at Cafe Zalute which is down the street from the convention center. Go have a cocktail in memory of me! No, but seriously if you don't already have plans, I've emailed Amy and Sally and they'll have an invitation at our booth waiting for you. Hope you get the chance to go.
Hey slouch this is Justin Clem, something strang is going on with the site as when I logged in it made me create another profile. Can you help? You will notice there is a new profile created today and there is an old profile with my picture on it.
Awesome article Jason. I love being a "secret agent" , doing Competative Intelligence, and even being sneaky at times. These tactics are essential for any sucessful external recruiter. Unfortunately when you are internal you must play by the rules. You can still write some fun emails and play phone games to get who you want.
Great article. Thanks for sharing. It supports the notion that it is the attitude and intensity one brings to the job and not the [online] medium that separates the best from all the rest.
As an employer however, I may be confronted with the choice of hiring David, who I may like and enjoy a long-term relationship with, or another firm, perhaps one that is even more expensive, but one that has people who know the targets and can call directly the folks I want. If I can map my targets' relationships, I can get there with less drama.
Sadly, the most innovative and entertaining paparazzi-staffing methods may be in decline.
Good work. I hope your Mom is well. I may just hook up on the 19th. I'm moving -things a bit hectic-sold my building-closes Oct 1st. 24 years of recruiting I need a holiday!
Jason, Whats up man? I had heard lots about you, glad to make your aquantance. Yes, the "golden age" of semi recruiting I like to call it. I was recruiting with my dad at the time and made a killing. Yes, Analog is where its at. Maybe we should talk some time.....
Hi there, I just joined and am wondering how I advertise my company on this site? Can you send me some advertising information? We are not actually a staffing company but a vendor for staffing companies providing payroll, accounting and new business start up.
Thank you
Sue smckechnie@staffedge.com
wow... just checked flights to Toronto from about six airports in the NYC metro area --- it's a grand. Too bad, would have enjoyed coming to your party.
Peter
Hi Slouch.. Business is booming! Been doing a lot of work in the photonics and imagin space as well as IC Designers and I can't keep up with the need of good talent. I've been recruiting now for roughly 12 years and I've already billed more this year than any other... Can't complain about that!

Just a though about the layout of the home page: maybe have comments in one area of screen real estate and another area for article posts? I just noticed that one of the articles I submitted a few moments ago was pushed WAY down the column by a serial commenter.
What say?
Just my two cents worth.
GREAT site, by the way. Thank you for all the very hard work you and the team do for us.

What can I say Jason.. I think I have been tweeting, and on the phone all day (most of the day) about Recruitfest.. You are doing all the great things for the recruiting community.. can't wait to hear more about what your "next" plans are Jason. Thanks for everything. best wishes ~ always. Susan
Virtual high five for RecruitFest. It was like attending a company meeting but with people you WANT to be with and with no boss around, ha. Thanks for pulling the virtual community together for a live event. Way to go!

I have started Ning Community for former employees of the Allegis Group - my past employer.
I am attempting, within the "manage tabs" section, to create a job posting section.
I can't seem to make it work. What is the trick?

You contiue to add value to my INC./desk, and I appreciate it.
There is another person in our industry that is trying to copy you, which is fine, BUT the value/ROI of my time is disturbing.
Clearly, you use your intellect before you send info out.
So, ad BIG THANK YOU! are in order....
