Hi John, great site and info, as always. Don't know if you remember the entry-level job site JobDirect (circa '96 - '02 or so, until we sold to KFY), but I was one of the co-founders and am doing another site. Would love to chat with you about it sometime if you're game. Also would love to find out more about the Roadshow events. Hope you're well.

    see you tomorrow John.

Hey Jason...I am leaving for Toronto. Redeye tonight, meetings in Boston tomorrow, Toronto tomorrow night, dinner with you and Michelle.
  • Slouch

John, Michelle and I are still talking about that waiter we had. left a lasting impression. The food was good.

It was an amazing vist, Jason. I am more excited than ever about contributing to this project.

(Jason and I spent a day together in Toronto last week. He is married to an absolutely amazing woman who shares his affliction ... domain names. They have four stunning kids. We walked his dog ...a newfoundland who must weigh as much as he does... around a gorgeous city park. We hung out on his office which is in a building with at least 50 dress shops)

Hey john, I just got off the phone with Rayanne and she is going to be coming to the kennedy show. You can meet her there.
  • John Sumser

Wow. After 53 years, I've finally encountered someone with ties to the place I was born. There was a little field hospital at the Letterkenny (sp) Army Depot. My mom drove down from Salt Lake City (because it was a military hospital) had me and went home. I never even saw Tooele again until I was 35.

These days, my favorite place on the planet is the Salt Desert which stretches from Tooele to the Nevada border. This is my favorite spot in the middle of that desert....http://tinyurl.com/6p4q2y

I think it's the funniest thing in the world.

    Oh, PS.

You must have been about three when you took that trip? Great memory.

Hey John, what is Louis Vong going to talk about in Portland. I remember hearing speak on the recruiting animal show about conducting job fairs in second wife life
  • Susan Burns

Hey Jason - Re Louis preso....He'll probably cover that and some really cool stuff on mobile and gaming for recruitment. Steve and I saw his preso in March and it was great!
  • John Sumser

Vong is going to do his normal and wondeful tour of new stuff you wish you understood. Everytime I've encoutered him, he blew me away.

John, it was a pleasure meeting with you in Vegas and discussing your notion of demographics being psychographics. Let me ask: What is your number? I'd like to contact you to discuss a topic that you may be interested in . . . of course, it links to our discussion in Vegas. Talk to you soon!

Loved the post on community, John. Over structure it and it never breathes.
Make it laissez-faire totally and it fades away quickly.

A community developer like JasonD is a rare combination of someone who has faith in emergent systems and someone who also sets the basic design structure.
