  the way I was re-admitted was a non-event: several weeks after the flap, I sent FB customer service an innocent note stating that "I cannot log into my account. Please advise source of technical problem."
  
  FB customer service responded that I was a shameless spammer -- but that I could get back on the system if I cleaned up my act. I said I would, and they reactivated my account.
