. My fees are real to cover costs. No way will we give bounty a large percentage. If a company wants to work exclusively with bounty, go for it. But, established firms, and recruiters with clients don't need the hassle.
I don't know what kind of recruiting firms you worked with, but, the recruiters I know are hard working, honest, dedicated, and indespensible to their clients.
Too bad you aren't in the US, I'd take those people from you just for fun :) I would keep you very busy staffing and hiring engineers, you are very good at it.
Now the bad news for you. (you relish bad news for recruiters) This is a site where recruiters bond, and help eachother. We like each other. And, we like corporate recruiters too. We are trying to learn to work together, not gloat.
My guess is that you used bargain basement recruiting firms, people who were desperate for accounts, and you got what you deserved. BRAVO for your excellent ideas. I applaud you, at least you did something creative.
The good news for recruiters is that we have companies like yours to pull from. YUM YUM…
How do i come up with stuff? I have no clue, other than i just see the world as totally funny and most of the people in it totally full of shit including this ole girl right here. I am funny but hey, looks aren't everything.
Re: Your comment. You have no idea how fun it is to be a professionally entertaining recruiter. Everybody is making all this noise about how to differ themselves from other recruiters, you should read some of the cover letters i write when i present a candidate. Some of my clients just keep me around because i am such a curiosity.
Don't stay too long in reality. Look what happened to television with all those reality shows starring nasty, ugly, stupid people doing disgusting, crazy things. Think of cross breeding Snooki with that bounty hunter. The product would be a junk yard dawg. Or a real housewife of Orange county.
I could never leave recruiting. Along with the guy who cleans up after the elephants at the circus, it would be like leaving show business.
media don't put as much stock in the "fast fingered flub up" or the he ain't got none grammar mistake when it's dash and flash. But a business email even from one peer to another full of the same and somebody's stock goes down.
I have had physicians rejected from difficult to find searchs because they had a mis spelled word on their CV when English is not their first language.
I also think we have a generation of barbarians coming up who will have a difficult time spelling their own name due to texting and accepting the thought. The horrors of autocorrect are a whole nother subject.
By the by, there aren't really any illegal questions it's what one does or does not do with the answers that makes it an offense. When some indignant candidate spouts off that someone "can't ask them that". I splain that anybody can ask them anything, go ahead and answer it then if you don't get the job you may have an interesting EEOC complaint. Rather than risk that scene we came up with the "don't ask, don't tell". That has really worked out well for everybody hasn't it?…
if it is an illusion :)
Someone actually asked me the other day if we wanted to know about what people were complaining about or just plain talking about re the company... I took a deep breathe and started again.....
A lot of people aren't as enlightened as the great folk here on RBC and still fear this self publishing, limited barrier to entry, quick way to make a "noise" thing called the internet, forums, blogs and well don't even get me started on wiki's....
Were we happier before these forums were around to point out our faults, ignorance is definitely bliss? knowing stuff causes way more work. :) (all things drawn out from conversations had I'm afraid)
Recruiting Animal said:Danny, dear Mr Nehru, it's great to get the morons in your office onside. I won't deny that.
But is this an isolated instance of a big company rushing to cover-up a fault exposed? I think so.
Blogs and online forums have been around for awhile now. How many problems are being solved in response to complaints made on these platforms?
