Having a belief in recession relief is simply not enough. Rescinded requisitions, altered job descriptions, and hiring freezes do not bode well nor make the in-house recruiter more confident.

In-House Recruiters know what a recession in recession looks like. Hiring Managers are happier and responding to resume submissions, teams are filling out and retention is a possibility. Happiness and positivity are infectious. We know this. Remember when you were a kid and your mom would be in a bad mood. "Ain't no one happy if Momma ain't happy." That is because Momma's happiness and good mood were just as infectious as her bad moods and malcontent.
The same holds true for you as a Recruiter or HR Professional. Doom and gloom doesn't help the "crisis." Plowing through it does, but simply plowing through isn't enough, plow through with a smile.

I would also suggest that they are MANY charlatan's in our industry, that sound all put together, but when you spend 5-10min. talking or observing there alexa ranking (web site traffic rank) you see very quickly, the message does not match reality. MANY are so called "thought leaders" in our industry!!!

So full of life with dreams & hope, yet totally opposite in confidence and self esteem despite my constant assurance that they are both smart and pretty. She will get it soon enough though, I hope?
