Twitter is revolutionizing the world, and twitter search allows users to find information fast .. Keywords for connection Use keywords in the Twitter profile to market the value identity. Mention the industry categories using keywords and then link back to the corporate blog or Career site for communicating the benefits of your company. Follow the network Establish a network in Twitter by connecting with passive job seekers. Make use of prominent twitter directories to follow the job seekers from the target industry. Listed are some of twitter directories: WeFollow. WeFollow site groups together Twitter users and messages using hash tags--words that can be added to Twitter messages and begin with an "#". Twitter users can update their stream with a tweet containing up to three hashtags they want to be included in and WeFollow adds their messages into the proper categories. Just Tweet It. Just Tweet it is similar to WeFollow ,it asks users to add themselves to the directory listing that's relevant to them. Whether it's writing, movies, or genealogy, the site covers every conceivable topic and it's very easy to use. MediaOnTwitter. MediaOnTwitter is a fine resource for those who want to find out which journalists, bloggers, and media outlets are on Twitter, it has the most comprehensive list of colleagues. It’s easy to use because of the capability to search by location or name. Social Brand Index. Social Brand Index is a listing of Twitter accounts held by public-facing companies. While the site doesn't have every company listed in its directory, its strength is categorization. For example, its business section includes companies that are listed under commodity trading and direct selling. Tracking Twitter. Tracking Twitter wants to be the definitive source for "brands, media, television, celebrities, and electric artists." Anything outside of that and you'll need to use another directory service to find folks. It doesn't allow visitors to create sections, and it doesn't even allow you to add yourself. Tweeter Tags. Similar to WeFollow, you can find others on Twitter by using TweeterTags' keywords. But unlike WeFollow, you don't input tags. Instead, the service searches through Twitter to find commonly tweeted tags and allows you to click on them from a cloud. Whenever you click a tag, you're given a listing of people who have mentioned it in recent tweets. It's certainly not an exact science, but I found it useful for things like product names. Collect the feeds The next step is to go to: http://search.twitter.com/and set up RSS feeds for keywords for networking with active job seekers. For example, Set up an RSS feed for the following phrase “ I need a job “ to network with active job seekers. Communicate the benefits Post tweets to announce the benefits of the job you offer, such as perks, allowances, etc Verify the credentials Verify the credentials of the candidates using Crederity, an online background checking and employment pre-screening service provider. Topic: No Rocker for Me: to make a change soon. One thing I remember from when I was a young employee was always being thankful for Friday. It was always my favorite day of the week. And of course, we all know why. Because everybody's working for the weekend. While I still enjoy Fridays, they are no longer my favorite day of the week. Some time ago, I fell in love with Mondays. Yep, that's what I said. I love Mondays. I think that was about the same time that I fell in love with my job. Mondays mean I get to be back at it - have another chance at success. Yes, every day can represent that chance but there is just something about a fresh start, a clean sheet of paper, a new slate, a clean office, a Monday morning inbox and being reunited with office mates or even friends (gasp) with whom you work. Friday is the take-a-breath day. It's the day to follow up or let down. It's the day to straighten and prune or relax and party. It is the "say goodbye to another week" day. I may be a bit strange (I am sure most agree) but I almost dread Fridays. And that dread usually hits me at about 3pm on Thursday when I realize I have only one more day to address the work on tap for this week. It's been quite a while since I thought of Monday as manic, except when I had a research paper due that I hadn't yet started. By Sunday night, I start to feel out of sorts, like something is missing. The laundry is done, the car has been washed. The dogs are on my last nerve, the kids are restless and I am well rested. And I am tired of the proverbial rocker. I study a bit, I hit facebook and then I sit down to write. And the melancholy hits me, at almost the exact same time every Sunday. And I think I may have figured it out..., I am hyper. That and I love to work. Yesterday afternoon, I met my friend, Claudia Faust, at the pub by my office. She has been on a road trip for the last couple of weeks and was passing through my neck of the woods with her son, Chris. We spent a couple hours catching up which included laughing at our A.D.D. and ability to multi-task - a definitive symptom of an active recruiter and burgeoning entrepreneur. See? That's it. They studied Himmelstein's 4 decades of research which showed medical cause of bankruptcy to be 17% First, they fail to provide a causal relationship to support the claim that medical spending contributes to “half of all bankruptcies” (54.5 percent). Our analysis of their data finds a causal link in only 17 percent of personal bankruptcies. Nor do their data support their contention that “solidly middle-class Americans” are threatened. Four decades of studies that have explicitly addressed the bankruptcy–medical spending connection lend credibility to our conclusion. These studies, which we discuss below, support a much smaller figure than half, as does a more recent national consumer survey sponsored in part by the Harvard School of Public Health.3 As for the “solidly middle-class” citizens who face “impoverishment,” Himmelstein and colleagues report an average household income of $25,000 for their respondents—a level more accurately characterized as “marginally middle class.” Second, the authors’ methodology does not provide a definitive answer to the policy question they implicitly pose: how national health insurance would affect the rate of personal bankruptcy. At best, they show that medical bills are a cause of 17 percent of bankruptcies but are not necessarily the most important cause. They fail to perform the multivariate statistical analysis necessary to determine the magnitude of the causal relationship or to rule out other factors such as loss of job, education expenses, or housing costs. Indeed, an economic study cited by Himmelstein and colleagues concludes (in a portion they did not mention) that there is little support for the theory that households file for bankruptcy when “adverse events”—including health problems—reduce their ability to repay debts.4 Lastly, their suggestion that national health insurance would greatly reduce the number of bankruptcies linked to medical spending is misleading. They acknowledge that the impact would depend on the “comprehensiveness” of the plan. Our analysis shows that “comprehensiveness” in this context would require defining “medical” expenses in a way that is much broader than is now typical of either private or government-funded plans.
