ortunately the community has rallied to put in place multiple hurdles to reduce this type of behavior. You are right though, any respectable practitioner would advocate that psychometric assessment is only one part of the puzzle. Using these assessments in isolation with no context or any other information is dangerous and not advised.
t as it can exist in isolation from my other online social platforms. Am I reading it wrong? Also Skype has a very strong brand image here in the UK and it's the brand of choice for everybody, so I don't want to added complication of introducing candidates to something new.

ll use social media in isolation as a one off hit for a particular role. and some already believe that it has taken over from the job boards as the place to be. Witness the hordes of tweeted links to jobs, thousands every day, many badly written and semi illiterate with the allure of a dead sheep. As I say, it's of no consequence either way to me, but I am enjoying the various viewpoints, many from recruiters,some for,some against. The recruitment industry jury is very much still out and the evidence for is sketchy.…

A lot of new sourcers are concerned about the Gatekeeper - they worry what she's gonna do/say to them. Yes the isolation can be a big problem for some people - if you're going to be a phone sourcer typically you RELISH working alone - in fact - you much prefer it.
Elizabeth said, in her Blog Post comment: “sourcing is still such an enigma that you must be clear on purpose.”
