Role-Based Assessment™: Take Control of Your Talent Management
Have you heard of Role-Based Assessment™? You should know about it. It's a new and highly effective way to assess people at every stage of the talent management cycle. Instead of cataloging individual traits and skills, Role-Based Assessment is focused on what really counts: the 'teaming characteristics' that bring either flexibility and support--or problems and obstacles--to group activity. It's purely behavioral, effectively predictive, and bias-free. Developed by the creative team of human behavior scientists at The Gabriel Institute, and based on 35 years of research on the ways people really work together, Role-Based Assessment™ is a set of 'integrative metrics' that enable HR to bring strategic, reliable, bottom-line value to the boardroom. Dr. Janice Presser will share with you the science, the application and the vision for taking control of your talent management.
Dr. Janice Presser is co-Founder and CEO of The Gabriel Institute, the originator of Role-Based Assessment™, delivered through www.RightFitToolkit.com. Dr. Presser is an acknowledged Thought Leader in the qualitative assessment of human capital. She has served on the SHRM Human Capital Assessment/HR Metrics Special Expertise Panel; the National Advisory Board on Talent Development and the Measuring Quality of Hire Expert Panel for Human Capital Institute and is Contributing Editor for the Selection Profile in ELLA®, Employment Labor Law Audit™. Dr. Presser is a frequent contributor to Leadership Excellence and other publications and is the author of five books. She blogs at http://drjanice.wordpress.com/.

recruiting blogs, RBC or otherwise?
Does the word "foster" mean anything? Physical and psychological abusers often believe they are "fostering" the object of their affection.
Maybe it's just me... but... the moment a post/string loses mutual respect, it loses my respect and becomes a Zero-sum discussion.
Now, I'm just one person and maybe, through the eye of some readers, "I" don't matter. That's fine. But remember; The internet, Social Media, et. all, exists because of all the "I's."
So, to any of you who read this, especially those of you who are not members, considering joining this or other online communities, or members who rarely comment but would like to comment more... before you post (and, believe me, everyone wants you too), please ask yourself; "What type of Community psychology do I wish to foster?" Unless, of course, you do not hold yourself personally accountable for what and how you contribute to a community or society. I know many people online who would love to hear/read your thoughts (not your ad copy.)
Well... I better go now. I think I hear motorcycles coming. ;-)…
wever, these were in addition to the normal resume... From an Accountant? Not so much. As Tiffany said you run the risk of standing out in a not so good way.
Ryan is correct though, in that as these become more mainstream we'll probably see them more often. I still prefer a plain and simple first impression though, at least for now. If it's not for a creative position I just don't think it works - yet.…
cited about how the web is adding productivity to Democracy.
While Obama was being sworn in, millions of people from around the world were watching online while communicating with their friends and colleagues on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and thousands of other online methods. Many will suggest that this election was so brilliantly run online, that it was one of the success factors helping to elect our new leader. In addition, on the new www.Whitehouse.gov site it says: "President Obama is committed to creating the most open and accessible administration in American history," and the site invites Americans to add their voice to the future progress.
Our industry, online recruiting, in many ways helped pave the way for this progress. Online recruiting was one of the first viable business applications on the Internet, and it has created millions of jobs worldwide, while it has helped add productivity, speed and transparency to a major business function (finding talent). We are at the very early stages, and our team at Onrec is here to help keep you up to date with the rapid pace of change and evolution. In fact, later this year, we will be launching the first-ever look at the online recruiting industry: from inception, to the current state of the industry, to a glimpse of the future opportunities. If you would like to contribute your voice to this watershed report forever memorializing our industry, please touch base.
In addition, we are hard at work assembling an incredible Onrec Expo 2009. Our theme will continue as "The Only Global Gathering of Online Recruiting Leaders and Game Changing Recruiting Technologies." Our speaker and topic line-up is already very impressive, and we will continue to make announcements. Definitely, if you plan to attend any one industry event this year, reserve November 3-4, 2009 on your calendar, and plan to be in Chicago for the event of the year:

find a job. That and the fact that for most jobs companies want someone within commuting distance so people may bang on about Facebook exposing you to 500 million people, but truth is, 499,999,975 of those people are probably irrelevant,no matter who is advertising. But I will concede that for minimal outlay there is no harm in trying to build an employer profile through such channels. Just not convinced the best/relevant people are interested in 'engaging' that way. Everyone likes to play the occasional game online though…
