SmartRecruiters Beta was launched last week at the ERE conference in Florida and we have been overwhelmed by the great response we have received so far. We got some fantastic feedback and support from all sorts of different people and we are really excited to find that so many people are really interested in what we are doing.<br />

An interesting question that we have received time and again before and after the launch of SmartRecruiters has been: When you say free, is free really free? Everyone knows that MrTed is a technology company that sells its SaaS solutions. It does not offer its enterprise ATS technology for free. Surely, MrTed must be planning to make money with SmartRecruiters so when you say that SmartRecruiters’ ATS is free of charge, what’s the catch? There must be some point down the road where users are eventually asked to pay for it, right?”<br />

Well, there is no catch. SmartRecruiters is really free now and free forever. Yes, MrTed will make money on SmartRecruiters, but it will not make money by asking you to pay for the ATS or in any way limit your full access to all its functions and features. With SmartRecruiters there are no trials, no limited, premium, or exclusive editions. You get full access to the complete system without any restrictions or limits, so you never have to pay a dime for your ATS.<br />
<br />
And in the meantime, you will just end up buying your recruiting services through your SmartRecruiters ATS. These are the same services that you would buy and use anyway, like job postings, a background check or sourcing a candidate for example. So you get easy access to recruiting services anytime you want to use them straight from your SmartRecruiters ATS, while MrTed generates profits from service vendors for bringing your business to them. And the best part is that in the long run you might even end up paying less for your services, because you have the buying power of all the SmartRecruiters members using the system.<br />

And there you go. It’s that simple. When we say free, we really mean it. Because SmartRecruiters really is free and it’s easy!
