Selecting recruitment software is a decision that doesn’t come around often. If your recruitment software isn’t enabling consultants to find and place more candidates it isn’t working. If you are in the market for new recruitment software make sure you ask potential providers the right questions so you know the system you purchase does the job it needs…

In the past, recruiters had to be part time headhunters, part time spies, sneaking around in pubs and water closets, hoping for just a few moments of privacy with job candidates. So how is SMS changing the playing field?

Sometimes employees get sick. Sometimes employees have babies. Sometimes employees' babies get sick. Such illnesses, life events and family crises are an inevitable part of adulthood. So why do 43 million Americans working in the private sector still lack the paid time off necessary to deal with them?
That's a question the Obama administration has mulled since a working families summit in June. And the president recently …

That can obviously make looking for the perfect role even more difficult however it does provide you with the chance to showcase your networking and investigative skills. Better still, don’t wait for a job opening to apply for it, you may find yourself more successful if you apply for a position before it…

"Big data" seems to be taking over the business world. Companies are collecting more pieces of information, and being able to manage, analyze, and develop strategies from all the incoming data. How is HR being affected by "big data"? Is this a skill that HR professionals need to develop? I noticed that the number of HR jobs that specify the need for "big data" is up 41% from…
