They're Just Not That Into You: 8 Signs A Candidate Isn't Interested

In less than one year, I cancelled my LinkedIn premium account.  It wasn't because of the cost; two of my placements were the direct result of using their In-mail feature.  So why did I forfeit over 75 unused In-mail credits?  Let’s just say that I was spending way too much time on the site.  Looking at profiles all day long took the excitement out of work; it made…

Can Someone Please Explain to Me What Linkedin Is Doing?

I don't get it.  I truly don't understand what LinkedIn is doing.  I do know that they are gaining new members at an astounding rate EVERY DAY.  They are gaining more market share and becoming more and more invincible.  No one can compete with LinkedIn.  Google Plus tried to compete with them.  Can you say #Fail?  I tell you what else LinkedIn is doing.  They are pissing…

The #TChat team heard the opinions of an especially vocal faction and are in the process of making a few changes that in my opinion will make their product better.

So - we'll see...

The Time I Found A Purple Squirrel

If you’ve been in recruiting for very long, you may have heard the term “purple squirrel.” I remember the first time I heard it. It was probably my first week in marketing training for agency recruiting. I came to my mentor smiling ear to ear with my new job order.  He looked at it and said, “Do you hunt squirrel?” Confused I said, “Uh no, but my grandfather used to…

First Time Thinking – Scott’s Sales Yoga Thought for the Day

Each of us is not responsible for our first thought, but we are responsible for our next action. This simple mantra not only can create powerful shifts in thinking, it can also allow us to see things that were previously unseen.

The video in this post of two women experiencing their first flight is a powerful example of how anyone, anywhere, can see the wonder in life. There is nothing, absolutely nothing, like seeing or experience something for the very…
