One of the most critical factors in evaluating a candidate’s work history is how/why they left previous jobs. As a recruiter, how you ask the question, and how you receive the answer, will impact the accuracy and completeness of the information you receive. Questions about departures must be asked without bias – don’t word the question to presume either a voluntary…

Now that my baby has graduated from Kindergarten, I have come to realize that really, some of the most important elements of recruiting he has now mastered. Since school let out I’ve been watching him interact with his friends – and here’s what I’ve found...

As recruiters, it's our profession to identify talent in which a company would want to invest (aka: hire, train, develop.) In the search for sound investments, we at PepsiCo try to look at much more than what you'd normally expect to find on a resume or spelled out in cover letters. Skills, experience and references…

Today, Dan Kilgore on my team wrote a great post that I thought would be great to share with everyone:
Okay, we’re now a few years into “The Great Recession”, and despite the predictions of many of the political and economic pundits, a healthy rebound that includes genuine and sustained job growth is still “just around the corner”. While some industries are… ContinueAdded by Jeremy Eskenazi on July 5, 2011 at 11:22am — No Comments
Online advertised demand for labor in the US fell 2.0% in June, the first decline since December. After a good start at the beginning of this year the job market is slowing now leaving little hope for more activity during the summer. This development is worse than a year ago when the job market leveled of during the same time. The difference is that growth rates last year, while small, remained positive.

For as long as I have been in this business, the business of sourcing, screening and selecting great talent for client companies, I have felt that more could be done. This is especially true for 3rd party recruiters, but is also true for those of us who provide a…

I couldn't help but smile as I drove home today, blessings abounded as my belief in incredible possibilities in my staffing realm had all but hit me in incredible bursts. A 4 hire day. Something as magical as that I have had privilege of being a part of before in April, but to do it in this way well it was just a sweet little icing on the cake to a day I knew would end with some interesting moments, while I was sourcing the day away helping partner recruiters nail thier placements - my job…
