US Online Job Market declines 3.0% in June 2012

The weather is hot, the labor market is not. Employers around the country posted 3.0% fewer job openings in June as compared to May. So far this year, demand for workers is below the same period of last year. Labor demand depends on consumption which has not returned domestically nor internationally. In addition, employers now can do more with a smaller workforce thanks to information technology. Growth has to come from new products and services driven by innovation which requires…

#Hashtag Chats for Twitter Recruitment

What is that weird waffle-looking thing at the beginning of that word and how does it help me? Well, that my friend, is called a hashtag (#) and it basically makes life easier for Twitter recruitment by helping you filter through categories of interests.

There is going to be a small minority who love your brand but a vast majority have better things to do with their time...Interesting article…

What is Headhunting?

Have you often been told by recruitment consultants that they are 'headhunting' for a particular role?  In fact on Linkedin you will find that about 1 out of 2 recruiters will mention Headhunting on their profile... as a skill or something that they regularly do

The free online dictionary says:

1. The custom of cutting off and preserving the heads of enemies as trophies. ( As much as what I believe I would like to do this…

When the Student is Ready, the Teacher is Already There

Resistance to change is as common and universal as the desire to be loved. Humans are creatures of habit, often perpetuating choices that are not as healthy or productive as other available options. From food to work styles to prioritization, there are frequently better ways to do the things we do.

Herein lies the problem – you most likely don’t have the time, energy, or even the interest to change or improve every aspect of your work and life. Nor should you. Better does not always…
