Any comments about this Framework? Which Level Are You In?

Created this "framework" recently for a workshop that we were conducting a week ago. I'm just sharing this here, in case someone else here might find it useful. This is by no means a…

Mike Astringer Interview - Animal Show

We had a great show today on The Recruiting Animal Show. And I'm going to say it was because we had a guest who was willing to answer questions. Also, because we talked about recruiting which everyone understands and therefore everyone could chime in with something to say.

Businesses can help offset some of this extra work by hiring temporary help, delegating tasks amongst employees, contracting a virtual assistant, allowing flexible working hours and schedules, and offering telecommuting options for mothers on maternity leave who feel comfortable returning to work part-time.

Not All Recruitment Analytics are Equal

If you’ve been to a HR conference the past few months, you more than likely have heard analytics and big data mentioned at least once or twice (and probably more than that.)  And for good reason.  Analytics represent a way for organizations to perform better on what they do every day.  Providing the insights and knowledge that they don’t have today to improve tomorrow.

Makes sense right?  The major problem for organizations is not determining that they need analytics but moreso how to…

A day in the life..

So I am sitting here sourcing and marketing and recruiting and blogging.  I just came across a good Social Media article and I need feedback.  I understand that Twitter will take some time to build on, but is Facebook really the way things are going?  I use Linked In a lot and starting to build my Twitter feed to be a good source.  FACEBOOK, I know there is a huge network, but I come from the mindset of FB is for stalkers and posting pics and how are the two going to mix?  Help me out…

Since our goal is to reduce spending on outside agencies and build an internal talent engine, we need to create our own database. This is an extension of our previous market research activities, but now we’re getting more targeted and looking at individuals…
