Failing to see the .Jobs hype



I admit: I just don't get it. (dot)Jobs is hyping itself up to be the greatest thing for recruiters since sliced bread.



That's one extreme.



The other extreme is recruiters who are absolutely outraged at the process in which .Jobs is being implemented.

Handle with Care (w/Humorous Video)

Like many people in this economy, I've spent a fair amount of time out of work. It's simply not fun. You become so callous to rejection -

if you hear anything at all - that an automated response telling you

"Thank you for your application. At this time we have found more

qualified candidates" is almost something to look forward to.

The Butler Did It

Believe it or not, there were some valuable recruiting lessons to be learned from this year's NCAA Basketball tournament. National powerhouse Duke barely edged out Butler (a small, private university with 4,000 students in Indianapolis) to win their 4th National Championship.
