Linkedin...

There is a lot of information out there about how to use Linkedin and I will admit that I've been slow to recognize the power of Linkedin.



About 6 weeks ago, I had about 20 direct connections with people that I knew well and quite frankly didn't see any advantage in Linkedin over the mulititude of social networking sites like Facebook, MySpace and others...what was the point since I was already connected to my friends on Facebook.

Tax day...I filed on time this year!!!

Last year wasn't a fluke for me...I did it again...I filed my taxes on time this year! This may not seem like a great feat, but I used to be notorious for procrastinating on my taxes and filing an extension.



What's been the difference for me, you ask? Well, I got married in 2005 and my wife was not about to let me procrastinate and let the government keep our refund (yes we got one again, which means I need to adjust my W4...). My wife holds me accountable and I love her for it… Continue

Economy, economy, economy...it's time to get positive!

Ok, I've got to say that I'm a little tired of hearing about the economy on the news. Newspapers and TV news love to report the doom and gloom about the economy, especially since it's an election year. "It's the economy, stupid" right? Well, wrong if your a recruiter that's worth their salt.
