Growing Demand for CRM Skills

During August, Recruiters placed more than 24,000 unique job ads that included requirements for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) skills. After significant declines during the recession, this represents a 46% year-over-year growth and marks a new 4-year high in hiring demand for this skill set.

Jobs that Require Government Security Clearance up 24%

Over the past 90 days, more than 45,000 new job ads have been posted online that include requirements for government security clearance, representing a 24% increase in ad volume versus the same 90-day period in 2010. More than 1,700 direct employers are currently advertising job openings that require potential candidates to obtain and maintain Confidential, Secret or Top Secret security clearance.  About 75% of these job ads were for Confidential clearance, the lowest…

Recruiting for Gurus, Wizards, Ninjas, Rockstars and Evangelists

Job titles can go through trends just like anything else.  We decided to take a look at the job titles using the words Guru, Wizard, Ninja, Rockstar or Evangelist in the title. In the past 90 days, there have been 600 ads that included these words in the job titles.

Hiring Demand for Recruiters Increases Again in August

During August, more than 6,000 new online job ads were posted for Recruiters.  About 3,200 (52%) jobs were advertised by staffing firms and 2,800 were posted by employers (48%), both seeing about a 26% increase compared to the beginning of the year. This also represents a 31% year-over-year growth in hiring demand.

Employers Increase Demand for Interns by 23% in August

Despite nationwide hiring being reported as unchanged by the BLS last week, the demand for interns has been strong over the past months. In August, there were more than 12,000 internships advertised online by direct employers.  The volume of job ads for interns has increased 18% from July to August and 23% compared to one year ago.

As Healthcare Hiring Continues, Employers Keep Job Ads Online Longer

Healthcare Practitioners are in demand. With many sectors seeing decreased hiring, healthcare is one of the few areas that has seen consistent growth and there aren't any signs that it will slow. The competition for talent is fierce and job ads are being left online longer in the hopes of filling positions. We took a look at the ad age of job listings placed by direct employers to see how long they are staying online.
