Bank of America awarded its $230 million media planning and buying account to Starcom, following a review that began in December. The account will be staffed out of the agency's Chicago office, with some help from Boston. Starcom will work with BBDO, Hill Holliday, and other agency partners working on the bank's business.

"Half of AOL's Sales Force To Be Cut"* by Henry Blodget

As you will recall, the head of Advertising.com, Lynda Clarizio, has just been promoted to run AOL's broader ad-network group, Platform A. Lynda is taking the place of Curt Viebranz, who got canned last Friday.

AOL buys Bebo-

AOL is hemorrhaging ad executives, but that hasn't stopped the company from agreeing to pay $850 million to acquire social networking site Bebo.
