7 People to Avoid Like Hell in the Office

I'm a sucker for a good, fun post, and Ali Hale (Brazen Careerist) knows how to deliver.

If the high cost of driving to work has you beaten down, consider what these seven companies are doing to make life more commuter-friendly:

2 Minutes on Social Media and Recruiting

I had the pleasure of sharing a table with Bill Vick yesterday morning over a cup of coffee. It's funny....Bill flatters all of us by inviting us to be interviewed for a spot on on XtremeRecruiting.tv,when, actually, he knows more about recruiting than most of us will forget in our life-time.

I got an email today that "made my day."

Yeah, I know, it's not all about me, but I really dig it when somebody takes the time to send a nice email, note, thank you card, whatev. It shows there's still a few good souls out there in the world who perceive the value of:

- passing on a kind word

- encouraging a stranger in their endeavors

- appreciating the efforts of others and taking action to tell them.

I got one of those today. Jeremiah Reyes took 2… Continue

Love is the Killer App

I'm in the middle of reading a book by Tim Sanders called, Love is the Killer App (how to win business and influence friends).

It's been out since 2002 - I actually picked it up at Half Price Books (which tells you a little about my personality). But here's the best part, it's autographed by Sanders on the front page… Continue
