I appreciated reading your post, Noel, and especially had a good laugh over those early 'car' phones. Since I traveled so much at the time, I was a very early adopter and had one before most people even knew of their availability . I'm undecided on my next phone, so I do enjoy hearing others give their opinions on your post. Thank you for sharing this with us :D

@Dixon - Been there....I helped my "old major firm" go through this switch....tough decision, and then I did it for myself in my company...feel free to drop me an email....<br />
@Paul - so true...I had one of those early backpack "car" phones as they were called...I was soo cool. I love the droid....kinda lookin at that and the new Blackberry Torch for next phone.

It is amazing how quickly technology changes. I remember when my first kid was born 15 years ago. My cell phone was the size of a laptop. I love my Motorola Droid and since our company uses gmail it works out really nice. I've heard good things about sendouts.com. I've also been hearing some good things about bigbiller.com.

I would love to participate in a discusion around "applicant tracking systems/recruiting software". We are in the process of changing from a proprietary system to an off the shelf system. Like most small companies we don't have a lot of resources to make this decision so thoughts from other recruiting professionals would be great.

This is a good list. I would also recommend Google Desktop. Ever lose that email or forget what you titled a file or where you put it? It's one of my best tools for making lost things repeatedly found.
