Comments - A gradual shift toward more "Applicant Targeted" content here? - RecruitingBlogs2024-03-28T09:36:10Zhttps://recruitingblogs.com/profiles/comment/feed?attachedTo=502551%3ABlogPost%3A1549093&xn_auth=noI agree that a lot of the con…tag:recruitingblogs.com,2012-04-30:502551:Comment:15522182012-04-30T17:16:50.140ZSandra McCartthttps://recruitingblogs.com/profile/SandraMcCartt

I agree that a lot of the content has changed to "Squak and Hawk" by job search coaches, career consultants, internet marketers and people who are looking for jobs. It is happening all over the internet more and more. I suppose it has to do with all the garbage being dumped out there about building your "personal brand" (gag) or blog to find a job or blog to promote your business. If this group is any indication of how well it's working, i would say it's not. After looking at one or two…

It is happening all over the internet more and more. I suppose it has to do with all the garbage being dumped out there about building your "personal brand" (gag) or blog to find a job or blog to promote your business. If this group is any indication of how well it's working, i would say it's not. After looking at one or two of the repeat offenders , seeing links to their website over and over i just skip them. I am also totally bored with recruiters using the activity status as if it were twitter , drop shipping links does not seem to me to be anybody's status unless they are just trying to get their name and face out there and call it branding. Lke 5 or 6 in a row several times a day. Posting pictures of kitty cats , I don't think so but that's why they make ice cream in 31 flavors so i just check out and don't come around much anymore.

Perhaps we as experienced recruiters should add more content if we want it to be recruiter focused instead of just bitching.
I've also noticed a shift her…tag:recruitingblogs.com,2012-04-30:502551:Comment:15523182012-04-30T16:29:04.091Zpam claughtonhttps://recruitingblogs.com/profile/pamclaughton

I've also noticed a shift here, away from conversation between recruiters to promotional posting targeted at candidates and like Jerry, I wondered why that was happening. While I still occasionally stop by here, I don't look forward to it like I used to because the water cooler feeling seems to have evolved away from that.

Might be my practice is different from others - I don't advertise for candidates, I recruit them.

I've seen a more material aimed for candidates here. Too bad.

Right Mitch, throwing toys out of the pram is a bit sensitive but then so is screaming "personal attack". If you think being called out for what you write or how you express it is a personal attack then the internet isn't really for you now is it? and if you don't care what type of content people post..why challenge it?
