"Value" is what they're trying to sell? Coulda fooled me...

Actually, it's not that I begrudge 'em trying to sell something; it's just I have nothing to sell....YET

I'm building my brand one typo at a time. Most of my online interaction is on my mobile device so it's inevitable and still makes me cringe EVERY TIME.

Love this this post and wish it could be attached to each offending article. Alas I don't think those writers possess the intellect to recognize themselves as crap producers.

Keith - I know exactly what you meant, and what you actually see on the site, sadly, aren't even the worst offenders. Except for that Scott Wintrip guy, but since he's selling sales training, I let satire pretty much slide. Thanks for actually taking the time to add value instead of selling it. That's why you're pretty much The Man.

No worries, Matt. Actually. I was talking about self-promoting infomercial/advertorials posted as either fact or opinion HERE ON RBC.

Hi Keith: How could I forget? Those 'special advertising' sections are the bane of my existence, but as annoying as they are, I'm pretty sure that no one has ever sold anything to anyone (B2B software, anyway) writing bad sales collateral in the form of a blog post. But I'll bet it's probably cost a few companies a client or two.
