Well well well. Does it need any appraisal? I am speechless Greg. I could recall all those moments in my early days of presentations, where at times i was completely mocked up by the audience. Reason was just one.....i was confident, had the content in my head but no practice. To get everything alligned and synched, one just cannot ignore practicing. Even with immense experience under your belt, you have to rehearse at least once to avoid subtle mistakes on the podium.
