Hi, my name is Kevin and I am the operations manager for a healthcare recruiting firm in Los Angeles, CA. I’m reaching out to you because you indicated on your profile that you were in healthcare staffing and possibly open to doing some splits. We have a lot of open job orders and offer a 50/50 fee split. Would you be open to discussing ways we could collaborate from time to time?

I am the “Admin” for the Recruiters On LinkedIn group, www.recruitingblogs.com/group/linkedin. You have recently joined and this is a "welcome" to the group and "here is how it works".

Over the past year I have been experimenting how best to facilitate members being able to connect with each other. Some want to connect with everyone and some are looking for a few meaningful connections.

1-2 times per week I send a group introduction message with 10-15 new members and reintroducing others.

What this means for you is simple, do you wish to be introduced to the group?

You have 4 options from which to choose:

(A) “Open Networker” with name, email address, and LinkedIn URL as you want to connect with anyone and everyone.

(B) “General Introduction” with name and LinkedIn URL as you are specific about who you want to connect with.

(C) “Lurker” no announcement will be made as you want to be on the sidelines connecting with people as you wish.

(D) “Super Open Networker” which is (A) plus having your contact information on the group page.

A caution on the “Open Networker”, you may be inundated with invitations to connect. For some this is exactly what they are hoping for and others this could be a pain.

I do ask, if you receive invitations from members you do not want to connect with that you “Archive” the message versus “I don’t know” so the sender is not penalized by LinkedIn although how you handle this is up to you.

Again your options are (A), (B), (C), (D).

Please include your LinkedIn URL and email address you prefer to receive invitations and send to paul@mnheadhunter.com

Thank you for your time.

There are two companies in the mobile recruitment marketing space that I am familiar with.

The first is OTair. www.otair.com . They provide a service that lets you accept and send text messages. When I spoke to them last year they charged monthly. You can see it in action. Text jsm to 68247.
http://www.jobsearchmarketing.com/2006/08/rethinking_text.html

The other company is the t-shirt company that I mentioned. They are called, Reactee. www.reactee.com. You buy t-shirts. The t-shirt would say something like, text MGMJOBS to ##### to learn more about a great place to work. Reactee sends you the prospect data. From what I can tell there is no charge other than the cost to buy a t-shirt. 1 shirt, $20. I don’t know what the cost would be support a large scale effort or if their service is scalable enough to support your effort.

I plan to review each of these services and any other mobile recruitment marketing services on my blog so I’d be happy to help you in any way that I can in exchange for your input on the review.

I’ll be sure to let you know if I come across any SMS for recruitment data.

Last week I came across this mobile marketing service for recruitment. They give you promotional t-shirts and set you up on their network to recruitment leads via SMS.

The shirts say something to the extent of , ‘Want to Work at MGM Grand? Text hireme to ####. ‘

The company handles everything from the t-shirts to the network.

Def. innovative. Seems like it would be a good compliment to a larger effort.

I'll keep an eye out for more info and send along if you like.

Will you be at SHRM?

If so, let's connect there and discuss more. From what I understand companies like MGM and your competitors have a serious recruiting push ahead. If MGM plans on innovating as it seems, Id like to interview you for my blog, http://www.jobsearchmarketing.com

Let me know.

Btw, you're invited to the Yahoo! HotJobs party at Tao.

Hi Craig,
I saw your question on Jason Davis's page regarding anyone whom has run a high volume text message campaign for recruitment.

I'm in the process of reviewing an, SMS for recruitment service. Maybe my contacts at that company will have some data to share. I’ll be sure to send it your way.

Do you have any data or know of any campaigns yourself?

Hi Craig, one more thing, any interest in working with me to get a recruiters poker tournament ( a big one) at the MGM this year? I have ran a couple of successful chariyt events over the last year and I have learned that poker and recruiters go hand in hand. It would be great. let me know.
