As a Realtor, I dont have to tell anyone the toils and tribulations of the housing market, it's all over the news and media. I talk with other Realtors that are quitting everyday because the"market" is bad. I say, it's not. A business is what you make it!!! Being a Realtor, just because you have a real estate license, doesnt mean people hunt you down to sell or find them a home for them to buy. This business like any other is what you make it, if you are honest and work hard, it will come. We should consider ourselves lucky we live here in Dallas. The market is great, home values are increasing every year. We could live in Florida or California and feel the bottom dropping out. It is a very strong buyers market right now, there is alot of product on the market for potential buyers to choose from. If you have to sell your home, it is imperative to price it correctly from the get go. There is a difference between being "on" the market and "in" the market. every day I study the number, new homes on the market, expired listing, cancelled listing, and from this you can tell what is going on and how the market is shifting. In this area, there is a 97% sold price to list price difference(thats pretty strong), and thats also why it is important to price correctly from the start.
