I've mentioned before that one of the most important parts of the hiring process also gets the least press, probably because it's potentially the least sexy: pre-employment screening.

But just because we aren't seeing the term scream by in the HR Media doesn't mean there aren't some very big, exciting, important things going on.

Jim Stroud just penned an excellent post on the Recruiters Blog about Trends in 2012 for Background Checks, and the EEO just released yet another update providing guidance on appropriate uses of criminal conviction information.

And now, another exciting development in pre-employment screening: Talent Technology has just released Talemetry Verify! 


It's already a challenge to get candidates into your hiring system, and until now, their data had to be pulled back out and transferred to third-party vendors to complete a variety of background checks, depending on the role you were hiring for. All of this slows down the hiring process and impacts candidate experience.
