Gamble In Vegas, Not On Your Technology

“Vegas, baby! Vegas!!” – Trent

You know what’s money? The HR Technology Conference is money. And it definitely knows it.

Yep, it’s that time of year and Jibe is ready to hit The Strip, roll some dice, tip our cap to Mr. Las Vegas himself Wayne Newton, and hopefully not wake up hungover and confused in a suite with a mystery baby, a free-range tiger and Mike Tyson surrounding us.

Oh, right, and we’re going to go to the 16th Annual HR Technology Conference & Expo while we’re there too. I knew I almost forgot something.

All kidding aside, we really are so excited for this year’s show, and not just because we get to show off our brand new Recruiting Analytics solution. The world of HR technology is absolutely bursting with innovation right now, and we can’t wait to be part of it and take it all in. There’s so much to consume, it’s like the Big Data of conferences. How can one make sense of it all?

Well, others more seasoned than us have tackled that task, so we’ll just do the smart thing and link them here.

Steve Boese gives us his “Semi-complete Guide to the HR Tech Conference” here; the inimitable Naomi Bloom provides tips for both HR Tech Vegas and Amsterdam here; Matt Charney breaks down what really matters here; and perhaps most importantly, Blogging4Jobs provides its annual HR Tech party list here.

For Jibe, well, we’ve got a pretty full plate ourselves. Before the show even officially gets underway, we’ll be checking outHRevolution on Sunday. It’s our first time attending, but we’ve heard nothing but good things, so we think it’ll be a pretty good way to kick things off.

At the show itself, we’ll be showcasing our latest innovation, Recruiting Analytics, both in our booth (#400) and on stage during the “Awesome New Technologies for HR” general session on Tuesday at 1:45 pm. Our fearless leader Joe Essenfeld has his presentation pants on and is ready to go, so come check him out.

In addition to displaying our wares and providing demos of all our cool solutions in the booth, we’ll of course have plenty of sweet swag to snag, so stop on by. We’ll be running “5-minute Speed Sessions” from our booth throughout the show, providing quick, lively interactive demos and Q&A sessions of our complete solution set. Come to one of those and we’ll not only enter you into a drawing to win a Jambox, we’ll also give you a $10 casino chip for use at the Mandalay Bay. Free money? Yeah, that’s right, free money. It’s Vegas baby!

And finally, we’re proud to once again sponsor the CandEs, the Talent Board’s annual Candidate Experience Awards. We’ll be attending the awards reception at 6 pm on Monday night, and we may even have a few VIP passes left to hand out. If you’re interested, let us know via @JibePR.

Phew, I’m exhausted and exhilarated just thinking about it all. Can’t wait!

Oh, and don’t forget to raise a glass at the “Thanks for the Memories” celebration on Tuesday night for founding Co-Chair Mr. Bill Kutik, who is hanging it up after this year.

The man is money, and he knows it.
