@BroadwayAllison snapped this photo of the notes she took while listening to @BeTheButterfly on The Recruiting Animal Show. Perri is a lively speaker and there was a lot of participation from the Animal Crew, especially @CathyMannis who usually complains that I don't let her speak.

Perri used to be a recruiter on Wall St. Now she is CEO of Archive.ly and I only remember the spelling of that name because I made her repeat it a number of times on the show.

The scores in the aftershow were very high for the guest but the crew was ignorant (as usual) when it came to scoring me. I did a great job trying to rein in and clarify what was being said so my listeners would have a few clear take-aways. I don't think I really succeeded but obviously the notes above show that others think I did.

I also did a long introduction about @Greg_Savage's take-down of Internal Recruiters here on Recruitingblogs (it's recycled I know but I read it here). This guy has a conveyor belt of Retweeters so his word gets out but I don't think many realize what a humourist he is.

The first thing he says is: you can't trust an internal recruiter because she is "by definition" so biased. Then he says, but seriously folks, internal recruiters have extreme integrity.

And against the corrupt image he paints of corporate recruiters he contrasts the virtuous Agency Recruiter. Yeah, right, you might say, we know how virtuous they are. But, you see, if all internal recruiters are, by definition, biased you only need a few agency recruiters who are decent people to allow him to say that agency recruiters offer more support to job hunters than those used car salesmen internal guys.
