Everyone is talking about big data but there aren't enough people talking about how you might actually use that data for anything useful. Slap all the numbers you want in a PowerPoint deck - if it doesn't add up to more money or making your job easier, who cares?

So while the rest of the “thought leaders” are just trying to define big data, we want to share the actionable strategies companies are using now to help you become a data driven recruiter.

In this one hour webinar, presented by Ivan Casanova, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Jibe and our own Executive Editor Matt Charney, you’ll learn:

  • What Metrics Really Matter: We’ll show you how to take the seemingly infinite pools of information employers and recruiters are already creating and how to make it easier to find and analyze the data that’s actually relevant.
  • Doing the Math: We’ll look at real case studies and emerging best practices from early adopters who have already embraced data-driven recruiting and how they’re using recruiting-related data to track meaningful metrics and actionable analytics that help them recruit top talent more effectively and efficiently.
  • Tools and Technologies For Success: We’ll explore some of the top tools and technologies employers of choice are choosing to help them maximize their recruitment analytics ROI and give recruiters the access to the data they need to succeed today – and tomorrow. We’ll also provide you with some helpful tips and tricks for assessing, selecting and implementing the right system or solution for your organization

The first step in using "Big Data" is to actually collect the data.  90% of recruiters fail to take this first step.  Instead, they spend their time insulting those that do.  I'll watch them slowly go out of business, I suspect.

You hit the nail on the head Nicholas. Whining about the guy who raises his hand to say "wait, what do the numbers say" doesn't get it done.

Katrina, my strength is more on the data-gathering side than the analytics, but I love the analytical process, as well...  It takes both sides to maximize the obvious great value of Big Data, though.  One without the the other is mostly useless.  Good point!
