Who among us doesn't remember back in the day when social networking was really about heading out and shaking hands and meeting people - not just online communities and emails? Don't get me wrong - I'm insanely passionate about social network sites such as RBC and the like - but I do miss heading out to the clubhouse for 4 solid hours of 'working' with a client/candidate on the fairways.
That's right... if I was golfing with a client, it was work. Enjoyable, yes. But still work.

Fast forward to today where I'm an admitted "Social X Addict" and you'll find that I've been on the hunt for a social network related to one of my favorite hobbies - Golf - and that is worth paying attention to. And in walks Stracka.

Last week I found this little gem - and so far I've seen some pretty amazing updates and terrific responsiveness from the creators. If you golf or even know anyone that golfs (or can think of an excuse to use this to your advantage - and yes, I'm already exploring marketing opportunities) you'll want to check this site out.

It has course reviews, handicap calculation and tracking, statistical tracking (drives, putts, reg play, etc.), player comparisons - to include celebrities, meet ups, forums, golf vids and pics, and even the ability to upload a video of your swing to be analyzed.

Check it out here- I'd be happy to have anyone from here as part of my friends list there. I also see this as a shameless way to sync up for a game when I'm on the road. (Did I mention I'm in San Antonio, TX this weekend and have tee times on Saturday...)

Oh... and something else worth mentioning is the sites ability to tie in to Google Earth for flying tours of each course. Pretty slick.
