Passionate about Vehicles? Here Are 7 Career Options for You

Do you love everything about vehicles? If so, it's not a bad idea to choose a career that allows you to be paid for doing what you love. Whether you love driving cars or you are extremely knowledgeable about all types of vehicles, there are several great career opportunities awaiting you. Below is a look at the top seven career options for anyone who is passionate about vehicles.

1.Courier

Couriers spend their days delivering important letters and packages to residents and businesses within their local communities. Since most courier services only use vans or lightweight trucks, you probably will not need any special licensing past a Class C driving license. Many courier services will require you to have a clean driving record that is free from accidents or traffic violations.

2.Truck Driver

Truck drivers play a vital role in the economic structure of the country. These drivers help to transport goods and supplies to locations throughout Australia. Whether you choose to become a local truck driver or a long-distance truck driver, you will need a special license, such as Light Rigid License, Medium Rigid License, or Heavy Rigid License for most jobs. A professional driving school in Melbourne can provide you with the training and skills you need to obtain your professional truck-driving license.

3.Chauffeur

If you love fancy cars and you are a people person, you may want to consider a career as a chauffeur. This job involves driving clients around in luxury vehicles, such as town cars or limousines. Typically, this only requires local transportation services, but there may be times when you need to chauffeur a client long-distance.

4.Mechanic

If you are more interested about what's under the hood of the car than you are about driving it around, a career as an auto mechanic is the perfect choice. Specialized training is required for this career to ensure you know how to make high-quality repairs on all types of vehicles.

5.Car Salesperson

Do you know a lot about cars? Then a career as a car salesperson may be the ideal option for you. As a car salesperson, you will be around many different types of cars all day long and you get to share your knowledge of cars with customers. Best of all, you will be one of the first persons to see all the new models of vehicles as soon as they are released on your lot.

6.Bus Driver

Bus drivers spend their days transporting people to various stops throughout the city of Melbourne and its surrounding areas. You must have a special license, such as a Light Rigid Licence, Medium Rigid Bus Driver Licence, or Heavy Rigid Licence, before you can drive any vehicle that holds more than 12 passengers per ride. The type of licence you need depends on how big the bus is and how many passengers you are transporting.

7.Forklift Operator

Forklift operators oftentimes are needed in factory and warehouse settings. This career is in high demand and pays fairly well. You must first obtain your Forklift License before you can apply for this type of job.

All seven of these career paths allow you to work around cars and/or larger vehicles, such as trucks and buses. No matter which career you think is right for you, proper training is the key to your future success. This may include classroom training or on-road training or both. Once your training is complete, you can start your career working with the one thing you are most passionate about.
