Let’s speak about this interesting acronym {GRIND}

Good day to one and all, yes, I am writing about how, what way and so on to get your GRIND on, yes, a little urban but effective.

I have a goal, not to work for another if I can help it and help others with the ups and downs of the job search. For a person {which is me} that has worked, looked and achieved jobs for the last thirty years I have some say so on the all-important job search.

How many remember the days of the NY Times, the Daily News and yes even the NY Post, Village Voice {yes, I am a New Yorker from the old days of job searching}, a good cover letter and resume, a fax machine and at least you have an interview or at least a rejection letter created by an admin with your name on it. In some cases, you have a lead and/or a person who may look out and place a good word in for you, again at least an interview.

Today it is way different, yes you still may need or can use an insider, also network, an email and fill out application after application for maybe an electronic response saying "we have your info and we shall contact you", also impersonal, no human nor emotional contact anymore.

Yes, it is so depressing, with all indicators {labor trends, unemployment rate at 4.9% for December 2016} saying you can apply and get a possible interview and/or a job. So, the question is why are they so many people without work {94 million under/unemployed}. Now don’t forget we have a new administration saying “they shall create more work for those who want to work and do this within their first one hundred days or so in office. We shall not wait too long for this to come true because we shall be waiting a long time. Yes, we know the speeches from our elected officials, big talk, no action.

My question to all that reads this is what can we do to make our voices heard and fix this problem now and our future generations. Thank you for viewing and maybe commenting on this subject and to all great success for the future and have a great day.

Sincerely,

An Almost happy job seeker :O
