Sourcecon Spring 2017!! Day 1 George Bool Tracks

This is the day 1 George bool Tracks. These included; Source Like an Athlete by Jenn Hall and Sourcing around the Globe by Ed Delgado.

First up Source Like an Athlete by Jenn Hall. So basically she utilizes the principles that many athletes use, that being Practice, commitment and discipline as the foundation for sourcing and are the 3 key takeaways. This is a great connection as those are exactly 3 of the main traits any good sourcer needs. She takes it a step further with a breakdown; Research/learn-Analyze Market data-Create an initial target list-internal networking-outreach, and of course rinse and repeat. The rinse being making changes based on what you learned from the first go around.

Next up Sourcing around the Globe by Ed Delgado.  IN this he mentions the Robots are coming but prefaces it with we need to be more HUMAN- H=Hyper Personalization, U=Unleash your creativity, M=Make a connection, A=anticipate change, and N=Nudge gently. So in other words yes robots will come in and do some of what we do at a low level, sourcing it’s not going away, we will still need to sift through results to find the best, come up with out of box thinking on finding new talent and specifically the connecting and outreach part is not going away.

Next week the Purple Squirrel Track
