Sourcecon Spring 2018 day 2, Purple Squireel Sessions.

First up Angie Verros- Band Mates Wanted. In this session, Angie talks about attracting top talent and the war for talent. She talks about first impressions, messaging, keeping it real, being unique, and more. TOOLS; Canned responses, and Clinch.

Next up is Tangie Pettis – were in this together, how to win hiring managers and influence them. Lots of stats but this one sums it up best- 80% of recruiters believe they understand the jobs they are recruiting for, however, 61% of hiring managers think they don’t. TOOLS; Sync.me, Melissadata, and Travelmath. Get to know your hiring manager, and create a team-based working relationship.

Next was Derek Zeller and Sourcing through Marketing. Long story short this was all about using marketing to source. Example going to a bar where people from a company go to hang out and using the fishbowl technique to gather business cards.
