An Industry That Keeps On Giving This Holdiay Season!

The Healthcare & Medical Industry - A Safe Career Route

With all the gloom around the current state of the economy and endless reports of unemployment rising month after month, it’s hard to stay optimistic. For those of you who are making career decisions or even transitions, we would like to provide career information on a positive note or what we like to call it Market Metrix. An industry which easily provides hope and is holding strong throughout these tough economic times is Healthcare & Medical. Projections suggest that this industry will provide a wealth of job opportunities in the future as the baby boomer generation will need exceeding amounts of care. To further prove that this industry is thriving, Beyond.com has aggregated a wealth of healthcare and medical data from both job seekers and employers.

So where are Healthcare & Medical careers?

Statistics from Beyond.com 2008 Industry Trends Reports consistently reveal that Florida, Texas, Georgia, California, and New York are hot bed states for healthcare and medical jobs. These five states account for more then 50% of all the healthcare and medical job postings quarter after quarter in 2008. Not surprising to most as these states combined represent 35% of the total U.S. population based on 2007 data.

At a more granular level, Beyond.com reports show San Antonio, Houston, Atlanta, Austin, and Phoenix experienced the highest job posting totals over the past year. Thanks to the strong growth of niche job boards like DallasJobsite.com, HoustonJobsite.com, AtlantaCareerPath.com, PhoenixJobs.com, and ManhattanJobs.com, job seekers and employers are finding it easier to connect with one another on a targeted and local platform.......
