Like many people in this economy, I've spent a fair amount of time out of work. It's simply not fun. You become so callous to rejection -
if you hear anything at all - that an automated response telling you
"Thank you for your application. At this time we have found more
qualified candidates" is almost something to look forward to.

It's a good thing to keep in mind when dealing with recruits who are out of work and looking. Handle the rejection with care. It's
likely not the first time they've been rejected... and probably won't be
the last.
