Well you've got to start sometime and somewhere...so I must confess...this is officially my first blog..!!

I am an HR professional with over 15 years of experience with a passion for recruitment. I love to challenge my recruitment stategies and find myself on a mission to build my "virtual" community and become a leader in recruiting with social media tools.

BUT, how do I start and what do I do first??

Well this is why I am starting this blog. I will share with you every step of the way...my progress, my good moves and my mistakes.

I must start by letting you know that I have been building my network for some time now. I started many years ago building and taking care of my relationships. So I think that I can say that I have a great network. But I just started a year ago building my "virtual" network and I realize that it takes some time to build...can't be done overnight!

STEP 1: So the first first first thing you HAVE to do is start building your network on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc etc...Choose one site that you like and feel comfortable with and GO...DO IT!!!

For me, it was LinkedIn. I looooove LinkedIn...I think that it's a perfect tool for building and maintaining professional relationships!

So now, I think my next step is to read lots of article's on the web and pratice using other sites like Twitter, Facebook, Recruiting Blogs etc.

I will be an active player, test the waters and get to understand what are all the possibilities for a recruiter. And I think that after that....I will make a plan...think out what I should be using as recruitment tools for the positions I will have to recruit for.

So i'll see you soon for STEP 2...I have to go and discover the social media world. I am leaving on a great adventure!!! And all this from my computer...
