There Is No Alternative – You are a RECRUITING PROFESSIONAL!!


We’re all very different people; we’re not HR Generalists, we’re not Career Counselors. We’re Recruiters, with a capital “R.”

You know what that means? Don’t ya?

That means that our forefathers were kicked out of every decent position in the world. We are the wretched refuse. We’re underdogs, we’re mutts! Here’s proof: your nose is cold. But there’s no animal

that’s more faithful, more loyal, more loveable than the mutt.

Who saw “Marley and Me”? Who cried at the end? Nobody cried when Marley dies? I cried my eyes out.

So we’re all dog faces. We’re all very, very different but, there is one thing that we all have in common: we were all stupid enough to join the ranks of the Recruitment Professionals. We’re mutants. There’s something wrong with us. There’s something very, very wrong with us. There is something seriously wrong with us.

We’re staffing specialists, Great Recruiters! We’ve been kicking ass for more than 200 years. We’re 10 to 1. Now, we don’t have to worry about whether or not we practiced. We don’t have to worry about whether the HR Manager wants to have us hung or not. All we have to do-oo is to be the greatest passionate Recruiter that is inside each one of us. Now do what I do, and say what I say, and make me proud.

Go put your candidates to work this week and kick start our economy into the Knowledge Age!

I feel, when this time the economy turns around, the recruiting profession will not be the same. So don't wait for those old days to come back and it may never happen. It will be wise for a good head-hunter to consider a career change, where old skills are portable. One must be open to work harder and pick-up a few additional skills during this transition.
Few career options which I can think include
1. Sales and marketing of products those you like and possess some good knowledge.
2. Business development roles with eCommerce.
