I would be interested to know which trainers or individuals giving webinars, seminars, etc. actually run a desk. Also how many placements have they made in the last couple of years. I am not counting managers running a team of hot shots making the placements but those that have made placements themselves thus training people appropriately with their proven methods.

Chris

I'm running a recruitment agency (and do placements) but also train recruiters and speak at seminars. Does that count too?

That does count. I was just curious with all these training webinars and webcasts going on how many of the trainers have actually used their techniques to make placements themselves. I have been paying to watch them for a couple of years and using their suggestions and techniques but when companies aren't hiring, they just aren't hiring. My problem hasn't been sourcing, it has been getting decent job orders to work on. I have one good account now and have made a couple of placements but 15%, 45day payout, 90 day full fee refund guarantee. I haven't had to bend that low since recruiting in the 80s for the military government contractors.

At this point I used to train people but need to work hard in this market, I do not need to train any more recruiters. You either have it or not....I need to be recruiting recruiting recruiting
