Thank you for the invite to connect on RecrutingBlogs... I like you already...my younger brother is an Arnold.
Oh, and the "Bust"...don't get me started. Getting such an award was a proud moment for me, but the "Bust of Pericles" is such an impressive Award in itself. To me, it's a Work of Art. If there was an award for Awards, the "Bust of Pericles" would get it. It weighs 20 (after I dusted it off) pounds and stands 19" high, and is CLASSIC... And not a lot of people or employers have one. Does my PRIDE have any bounds? When it comes to career and athletic accomplishments...I used to just store the stuff away. Now that I'm over 60, I say, "To hell with being invisible in terms of what I have done in my career and on the athletic field." I made a mark back then and still do now.
Sorry, Arnie, for venting. But when I get, "What have I done lately comments?" I respond, but I really want to say, "What I have done is prologue to what I will continue to do if given the opportunity." Well, there--I said it.
